ASME is recruiting a Sales Consultant in Dubai. This position reports to the Sales Director and is responsible for proactively identifying, promoting and selling ASME electronic security products, solutions, and services to our channel partners (distributors, system integrators and installers) who are active across the MENA region.

As a Security Sales Consultant for ASME, you will work in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment. You will have access to dedicated sales support, marketing and competitive research and back-office support to allow you to focus on what you do best – closing deals!

 

You will be responsible for growing our business and will lead efforts to identify and qualify new opportunities, grow current pipeline, execute the growth strategy, and convert leads into opportunities and into revenue generating programs and projects. This position will report directly to the Sales Director. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire business development lifecycle from lead to order while working with the technical team as well as our regional distribution partners. A successful candidate must have a proactive approach to developing new business.

Careers -Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively promote the sale and support of all ASME brands to new and existing business customers based on assigned revenue targets.

  • Understand security needs to determine appropriate solutions and work with support personnel to determine appropriate solutions where necessary.

  • Create, develop and maintain relationships with channel partners and growing our presence in the physical security market

  • Sell within the product pricing and campaign structure authorized.

  • Serve as liaison between customers and ASME departments ensuring customer satisfaction through the entire pre and post-sales cycle.

  • Remain current on technical information regarding ASME's products and services as well as the competitive landscape.

  • Maintain consultative sales and negotiation skills through ongoing training and development.

  • Provide regular updates to management via weekly and monthly reports.

  • Deliver sales presentations to customers and prospects.

  • Interacts with the sales team with regard to account forecasting.

  • Works with the Sales Director to manage the system's channel portfolio effectively. Follows-up after completion of the installation to make certain that the system is working properly, to explain its operation to the customer, and maintain a rapport that will result in continual referrals.

  • Identifying new opportunities prior to being released for bid and positioning our team for successful bids

  • Respond to requests for Proposals and Requests for Information in a timely manner, lead and contribute to large proposal efforts, negotiate and close profitable sales revenue.

  • Manage distributor buying programs, actively promote distributor promotions and programs to secure discretionary sales revenue, direct distributor personnel to ASME website for collateral material, effectively communicate all ASME policies, procedures, etc. to distributor personnel

  • Work closely with distributors to ensure that they quote all ASME specifications

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct distributor product/solution training sessions

  • Collaborate with Consultants regarding specification strategy

  • Achieving targeted sales growth and maintaining a strong pipeline of business is essential.

  • Maintaining the company's customer information database (CRM) and ensuring that management is kept fully informed through reports

  • To become technically conversant with the company's product and service portfolio, being able to discuss the function of the equipment knowledgeable with current and potential customers.

  • Create and participate in opportunities to serve as a public representative and image builder of ASME in the community in order to network, develop and maintain ASME’s presence; e.g. promotions, attending events, relationship with the Chamber of Commerce and/or government ministries.

  • Fluent in English, Arabic is advantageous

  • Only those candidates who are currently eligible to work in the UAE with a driving license and own reliable transport will be considered for the opportunity.

  • Excellence in both verbal and written communication including bid writing and support to marketing colleagues

  • Previous experience in sales of security systems – access control, CCTV, etc.

  • Able to travel on a weekly basis to meet with customers, attend training programs, etc.

  • Must be able to work with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience working in the distribution channel of the physical security industry

  • Knowledge of local security market with local contacts.

  • Experience using CRM systems

  • Hunger to win and proven ability to proactively “hunt” for sales and meet/exceed sales quotas

  • Experience reading and understanding architectural, mechanical and electrical documents

  • Experience with security solutions specifically access control, CCTV and Video Management systems.

  • Proven communication, networking, and presentation skills

  • Exemplary writing skills, specifically when it comes to managing and writing large proposals

  • Candidate must be able to meet client security clearance when required to access the client’s data and/or government and financial sites.

Careers  - Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, however, comparable professional or security industry experience will be considered. Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Electronics or an aspect of Business.

  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation.

Careers - Experience

  • 3 years Business to Business (B2B) experience in the security industry

  • 3 or more years sales experience with quotas and cold-calling

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with an understanding of system design and application, pricing, lead generation, and time management.

Careers - Working conditions:

This position requires travel within the territory up to 60% of the week. The job incumbent will be required to travel for extended periods of time while conducting client meetings as well as doing computer work in an office environment.
