Automatic Number Plate Recognition

Vehicle access control based on license plate recognition - Our ANPR readers are specifically designed for vehicle access control and free flow (barrier-free) applications. A powerful embedded OCR engine interprets the information on the license plate. The readers can easily be integrated to your system for access control or parking management. The ANPR Access can also operate stand alone. This all-one-system has all intelligence (software and reading) onboard, making it easy to configure through a web interface. Additionally, the camera’s optional Wiegand Interface Module ensures a seamless integration into any access control system. LPR is the best option for situations where it is not possible to equip vehicles with transponders or tags.

ANPR ACCESS

The ANPR Access is a license plate reader with Wiegand communication.

The Nedap license plate reader is an all-in-one camera including camera, analyzer and IR illuminator. The ANPR reader has embedded processing software onboard. The license plate reader is default featured with an RS485 and Ethernet communication.

ANPR ACCESS HD

The ANPR Access HD is a license plate reader with Wiegand communication.

The Nedap license plate reader is an all in one camera including High Definition camera, analyzer and high power IR illuminator. The ANPR reader has processing software embedded onboard. The license plate reader is default featured with RS485 and Ethernet communication interfaces. 

The ANPR Access HD has a broad list of world-wide countries supporting a large range of IR-reflective license plates. The usage of a HD sensor in combination with the high power IR, enables reading more complex number plates in more challenging circumstances and from a wider range.

WIM

The Wiegand Interface Module (WIM) is a module allowing easy conversion of ANPR Access, the license plate reader for vehicle access control, to a required wiegand format.

UPASS ACCESS

UHF EXTERIOR TAG

The UHF Exterior Tag is a passive exterior mounted tag that offers vehicle identification up to a distance of 10 meters [16 ft.] in combination with the uPASS Target. For added security, the UHF Exterior Tag is a transparent and tamper proof adhesive. The chip inside the tag is protected against harmful UV rays.

The UHF Exterior Tag is the right solution in situations where the entire vehicle windshield is metalized or covered by solar film with metal particles. The UHF Exterior Tag can also be an option for access control of motorbikes, scooters and mopeds. Typical applications include straightforward access to car parks, gated communities, condominiums and campuses.

UHF COMBI CARD

The UHF ISO Combi Card is a card featured with long range UHF tag and proximity or smartcard technology. It enables the use of one card for both vehicle and building access applications. Clients use a single credential for access throughout the facility, from the car park to their office door.

The UHF ISO Combi Card offers a cost effective long range identification solution. When the tag is also used for building access, it ensures removal of the card from the vehicle.

UHF HEAVY DUTY TAG

The UHF Heavy Duty tag is a passive UHF transponder offering long-range identification up to 10 meters [33 ft] with uPASS Target or 5 meters [16 ft.] with uPASS Reach. This tag features a rugged design for long term use in outdoor and industrial environments.

UHF DUAL ID CARD HOLDER

The UHF Dual!D Card Holder can be mounted on the windshield. The card holder identifies the vehicle. The reader is configured to only proceed with reading any ID if there is a valid Nedap ID for vehicles present.

The reader will at that time identify the vehicle (card holder) and the driver (the card in the card holder). Only relevant UHF tags are read which prevents errors and limits security risks.

ADJUSTABLE MOUNTING SET

With the Adjustable Mounting Set, the uPASS Reach or TRANSIT Entry reader can be adjusted at the desired angle and direction to ensure reliable reading. The Adjustable Mounting Set can also be used for mounting the reader to round or square masts.

POLE MOUNTING KIT

With the Pole Mounting Kit the uPASS Reach or TRANSIT Entry can be mounted easily onto a pole or gooseneck. The flexible mounting arm allows the reader alignment.

TCC270

The TCC270 is developed to be used in combination with Nedap’s uPASS Access reader (a mullion mount UHF reader with up to 2m read range) to let it operate in TRANSIT compatible mode. 

This small converter enable the uPASS Access (or any other Nedap reader with RF output) to communicate in a way that is 100% compatible with current Nedap TRANSIT and uPASS Reach readers. It supports every firmware version that was originally developed for the TRANSIT, including P61, P81 and Q70.

PCC485

Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) is an industry standard for secure communication of RFID readers and other devices with access control panels. It is based on RS485. Nedap’s reader portfolio for long-range RFID fully supports the OSDP protocol. The PCC485 is developed to upgrade Nedap readers (with RF output) with OSDP. The OSDP protocol is implemented according to the SIA OSDP v2.1.6 standard including the Secure Channel Protocol.

Our Booster 2G is a smart combination of transponder and card reader. TRANSIT backwards compatibility

The new TRANSIT Ultimate reader is fully backwards compatible with existing TRANSIT transponders and readers in existing installations. BOOSTER 2G

The Booster 2G is a patented solution for combined long-range vehicle and driver identification. This in-vehicle transponder contains a vehicle identification number combined with identification of the driver’s personal identification card up to distances of 10 meters.

The Booster 2G ensures that a vehicle can never get access to a secured area unless occupied by an authorized driver. The Booster 2G is the perfect solution when both vehicles and drivers need to be closely monitored; in high secured areas and in situations where vehicles are used by different drivers. The Booster 2G enables automatic vehicle indentificaiton by the TRANSIT Ultimate and the TRANSIT Standard.

TRANSIT RFID

This automatic vehicle identification (AVI) solution is based on Nedap TRANSIT products. The Booster Ultimate is a patented solution for combined long-range vehicle and driver identification. This in-vehicle transponder contains a vehicle identification number combined with identification of the driver’s personal identification card up to distances of 10 meters. The Booster ensures that a vehicle can never get access to a secured area unless occupied by an authorized driver.

The Booster Ultimate uses the 2,45 GHz for vehicle identification and supports advanced tag authentication using AES standards. The new Boosters will also support writing information on cards. Credits, offline access rights and other authorizations could for example be stored dynamically on the personal access control card when a vehicle enters or leaves the secured perimeter.

COMPACT TAG

The Compact Tag is a slim line RF tag combining long and short range identification of 7 meters (23ft) with the TRANSIT Ultimate and TRANSIT Standard in various applications. In combination with the TRANSIT Entry reader the tags are identified up to 4 meters (12 feet).

This tag comes in a standardized credit card size.

WINDOW BUTTON

The Window Button is a long range single ID vehicle tag used for vehicle identification and access applications. This tag is designed to complement the interior of a passenger vehicle. 

The Window Button is identified up to 10 meters [33 feet] by the TRANSIT Ultimate and TRANSIT Standard reader as soon as it enters the reading zone. The TRANSIT Entry identifies the Window Button at distances up to 4 meters [12 feet].

WINDOW TAG ULTIMATE

The Window Tag Ultimate is a long-range identification tag used in applications where vehicles need to be identified secure, fast and convenient.

As soon as it enters the reading zone, the Window Tag Ultimate will be identified up to 10 meters [33 feet] by the TRANSIT Ultimate reader.

WINDOW BUTTON SWITCH

The Window Button Switch is a long range identification tag used for vehicle identification in access applications.

Requiring user activation, the Window Button Switch is designed for applications where the driver determines the time and distance of the identification. The Window Button Switch will only transmit the tag ID to the TRANSIT reader for 5 seconds when the switch on the front of the tag is activated by the driver.

TAG HOLDER & CARD CLIP

The Tag Holder is suitable for windshield mounting of the Compact Tag. The holder is suitable for credit card sized tags and is attached to the inside of the windshield by two suction pads. This holder is designed to fit a card with a total thickness of up to 5 mm [0.2 in].

The Card Clip is a chrome metal crocodile clip with a nylon strap. The strap is easily threaded through the oval holes in the tag and snapped together for assembly.

Squelch Upgrade Board
SUB Board enables efficient read range adjustment of the TRANSIT readers. The SUB can be applied when thefull reading range of the TRANSIT reader is not required or inapplications where reading range should be adjusted. 

HID Interface Board
The HID Interface Board enables decoding of HID prox cards by the TRANSIT Standard reader in case of Booster applications used in combination with HID prox cards.

Profibus DP
Profibus is a vendor-independent, open field bus standard, according EN 50170, for a wide range of applications in manufacturing, process and building automation. With Profibus, devices of different manufactures can communicate without special interface adjustments.

TCP/IP Interface Board
The TCP/IP communication board is designed to connect Nedap RFID devices with a serial interface to an Ethernet network using the TCP/IP protocol.

RS422/RS485 Interface Board
Optional interface board for integration of the TRANSIT reader to a RS422 or RS485 communication network.

HID Interface Board
The HID Interface Board enables decoding of HID prox cards by the TRANSIT Entry reader in case of Booster  applications used in combination with HID prox cards.

MTR Module 
The Multi Technology Reader (MTR) module is proximity smartcard interface module for the TRANSIT Entry reader. This MTR module will enable the TRANSIT Entry reader to read standard proximity and smartcards, allowing it to operate with existing credentials when presented to the face of the reader.

MACE

Nedap MACE is a platform that allows any access control system to use smartphones as access credentials. The platform consists of a cloud based service, readers and apps. MACE apps can receive and contain multiple virtual identity credentials. These credentials are presented to MACE readers using NFC, Bluetooth Low Energy or QR. Virtual identity credentials are sent to the phone in a secured way from the MACE Server. The MACE Server accepts imports from 3rd party access control systems.

MACE SMART

The MACE Smart is a slim mobile access control reader. It supports Bluetooth, NFC and smartcards. This elegant reader enables using smartphones in any access control system, while continuing to support existing credentials that contain smartcard technology.

This multi-technology reader is configurable using a free downloadable tool. With this tool, settings like the read range and output can be specified.

The reader is small enough to be mullion mounted. The MACE Reader MM is configurable using a free downloadable tool that connects to the USB port. Read range and output can be specified. 

In addition to the MACE Reader MM, this reader includes a QR reader that enables reading QR-codes displayed on a smartphone.

MACE ADMIN PORTAL

The MACE Admin Portal is the graphical interface of the cloud based MACE platform. It is available at any time and from anywhere by authorized people. The admin portal makes it easy to customize virtual cards and to enroll, revoke and even reuse virtual credentials. It operates with any third party access control or parking management system.

MACE APP

MACE IDENTITY CREDENTIAL

Nedap MACE is a platform that allows people identification with the use of smartphones. It can be used with any access control system. The platform consists of a cloud based server, readers and apps.

Virtual identity credentials can be allocated to users in Nedap XS format, Wiegand 26 format or any other format. These credentials are safely sent to the smartphones by the cloud based MACE server. Numbers can be reused when needed.

MACE CARD

The MACE Card is featured with smartcard technology (13.56 MHz). It ensures the use of one card for high secure people identification using the MACE platform. It is designed for situations that demand the highest levels of security, for both parking and building access control. Physical MACE MIFARE Cards can be combined with Virtual MACE credentials using the existing MACE reader infrastructure. The card can be printed and personalized on request. 

Available custom programmed and preprogrammed Wiegand 26.

uPASS Access

uPASS Access is a very small UHF reader that fits on doorposts, has an attractive modern design and reads access badges at a distance of up to 2 meter (6 feet). This reader supports reading battery less UHF cards that follow the EPC Gen 2 standard. Standard UHF cards in ISO format are available, but also specific combi cards. These combi cards combine UHF with conventional card technology from HID, Legic, MIFARE, Nedap, Sony or EM.

TRANSIT Entry

If a guaranteed read range of approximately four meters is required, Nedap advices to use TRANSIT Entry, a microwave based reader (2,45 GHz). With this reader Nedap compact tags, that contain a battery, are used for a longer read range. The reader can be equipped with a so called MTR Module which will enable proximity reading of common smart cards and proximity cards.

The core of the Nedap SENSIT system consists of wireless sensors that monitor occupancy of each individual parking bay. Both the parking bay status and the duration of occupancy are monitored. This information is made available on a hosted software platform that can be used to monitor system operation and to integrate the system easily with third party systems for parking guidance, parking management, reporting or parking enforcement.

SENSIT - Wireless parking bay occupancy detectors

SENSIT is a wireless parking occupancy detection platform. The SENSIT system can monitor real-time occupancy information on individual parking spaces and also keeps track of the time that a car is parked at that location. The SENSIT platform is fully wireless and does not require communication or power wiring, making it specifically suited for installation in on-street parking spaces or upper decks of parking facilities.

What do I need for a working solutions?

The SENSIT platform offers everything you need to effectively monitor parking bay occupancy. 
The platform consists of:
- a variation of sensors that are installed in each individual parking bay.
- Relay Nodes are used to make the wireless network fast and reliable.
- SENSIT Gateway is the data collector from the wireless SENSIT network to the IP network.
- SENSIT Interface Software (SIS) is hosted on our data center.

The  SENSIT Interface software is used to setup and configure the system, to monitor and optimize the performance of the system and to connect the SENSIT system to third party software for guidance, reporting, payment and enforcement.

SENSIT IR FLUSH MOUNT
Nedap’s wireless SENSIT IR Flush Mount sensors detect the occupancy of individual parking sp spaces in real-time. The obtained parking data enables smart parking in any Smart City, ITS or retail environment. As part of SENSIT platform, the SENSIT IR Flush Mount optimizes parking utilization, reduces emissions and guarantees a fast return on investment.

The SENSIT IR Flush Mount is installed fully flushed in each parking space, making the sensor resistant to snowploughs and avoid tripping hazards. With a battery lifetime of 5-10 years (depending on the application type), the SENSIT sensors have proven to be a reliable and durable parking detection solution.

RELAY NODE 2G

The Relay Node 2G is a wireless communication unit for on-street applications and is used to relay the messages faster to a SENSIT Gateway. It ensures faster communication between the SENSIT network and the Gateway.The Relay Node 2G is a fully wireless unit, ensuring easy installation onto lampposts. Once installed, no maintenance is required for years.

SENSIT GATEWAY

The SENSIT Gateway is the interface between the SENSIT sensors, the Relay Node and the SENSIT Software. The Gateway collects real-time status data from the individual sensors via the Relay Node through the wireless mesh network. This data is forwarded to the SENSIT Interface Software (SIS).

Automatic data collection

The SENSIT Gateway offers 3G, GPRS and Ethernet communication. It automatically inserts all the collected data via the hosted server into the SENSIT Interface Software.

SENSIT INTERFACE SOFTWARE

The SENSIT Interface Software (SIS) collects, filters and evaluates all data generated by the SENSIT parking sensor network. This cloud software provides a user-friendly overview of the entire SENSIT system and enables easy network segmentation, calibration and sensor configuration.

Easy installation and configuration

The SENSIT Interface Software enables easy installation of the wireless SENSIT network. Once the SENSIT parking sensors, Gateways and Relay Nodes are installed and calibrated, these components will automatically appear in the software. Using the software’s detailed map monitor, the status and configuration of sensors and other network components like gateways, relay nodes and displays can be easily viewed and adjusted. Settings concerning the detection technology (infrared or magnetic detection) can be configured per individual parking sensor. Furthermore, using the drag and drop function, individual sensors and network components can be positioned on the map.

Easy integration with SIS API

The SENSIT Interface Software is cloud based. Using the REST interface, parking data can be easily integrated to any parking guidance system, parking enforcement software and smartphone apps. The SIS forms the basis for additional services and functions such as data analysis, planning and management of e.g. e-loading, truck and disabled parking bays.

SENSIT P-GUIDE APP

Nedap’s SENSIT P-Guide App enables cities, municipalities and companies to easily provide motorists with real-time parking information. The app, which can be fully customized to fit (city) marketing needs, helps motorists to easily find and navigate to available parking spaces, both on- and of-street. The app is specifically designed to offer parking guidance information in smaller parking projects.

Custom parking app

The P-Guide App can be completely customized by cities, municipalities and companies to be fitted within their (city) marketing concepts. By adjusting colors, logo’s, the app name and content, cities, municipalities and companies can easily create their own iOS and Android smart parking navigation app, without having to build their own app. Available parking data (on- and off-street) can be easily integrated and managed.

SENSIT PARKING LICENSE APP

The SENSIT Parking License app is a tool to enable identification of vehicles. This solution monitors the legitimate use of parking bays digitally.

The SENSIT Parking License app for smartphones performs in a similar way as the previously released physical onboard EPL device (Electronic Parking License). It enables the SENSIT system to identify and localize the vehicle and consequently detect abuse of parking bays for designated users.

SENSIT DISPLAY

Availability of parking spaces can be indicated per zone for the specific zone the SENSIT Display is allocated to. Configuration of the display can be realized using the SENSIT Interface Software.

SENSIT BACK-UP BATTERY

The SENSIT Back-up Battery is available to ensure the wireless SENSIT network remains operational even in case of power failure. This battery pack can be connected directly to the Gateway. This enables the Gateway to connect to a lamppost or solar panel. The battery will be charged during night time when the lamppost or solar panel is activated. The SENSIT Back-up battery offers up to 35h of autonomous time. This ensures a reliable system under all circumstances.
